Halff has an opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer with a Texas PE License to join our growing Roadway/Transportation team as a Senior Project Manager in our McAllen, TX office. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in roadway/transportation project development with emphasis in the delivery of TxDOT projects. What You Will Do

• Work closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of TxDOT roadway/transportation projects.
• Perform complex transportation engineering tasks and lead other professional staff in project development.
• Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
• Manage multiple transportation tasks or projects to support business needs.
• Lead other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including engineers, EITs, and technical staff to contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways.
• Review transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency.
• Report on project progress and budgets.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or ability and willingness to obtain Texas PE License within six months of starting date.
• At least 15 years of experience in TxDOT roadway/transportation project delivery.
• MicroStation CADD and OpenRoads experience required.
• Ability to lead a project and technical staff, manage project schedules and budgets.
• Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and decision-making ability.
• Commitment to quality; self-directed, team-oriented, with high integrity.
• TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) desirable.
• Primavera (P6) experience desirable.
