Job summary

Halff is seeking a Project Manager (PE) to lead our Transportation/Roadway team in Frisco, TX. The role targets a Texas-licensed PE with strong leadership in roadway design and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions for DOT and municipal clients.

You will drive projects from planning through delivery, supervise scopes, budgets, and schedules, and mentor engineers and staff while building strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with design standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited) required.
  • Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 8+ years of roadway project development experience (TXDOT/municipal).
  • Strong roadway design and plan production experience.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects end-to-end.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with local agencies and regulatory requirements.
  • Primavera (P6) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage roadway/transportation design projects from planning through delivery.
  • Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Engineers, EITs, and support staff.
  • Ensure deliverables meet design standards, quality, and client requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and support ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Review plans and deliverables for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Assist with proposal development, RFQs, and business development efforts.
  • Partner with Transportation leadership on project delivery and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance, including budget tracking and schedule adherence.
  • Support QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.

What you will do:

  • Strong experience in roadway design and plan production.
  • Proficiency in OpenRoads.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manager projects from start to finish.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with local agencies and regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to quality, integrity, and client service.
  • Primavera (P6) experience is a plus.
