Job summary

AECOM in New York is seeking a Senior Project Manager-Transit Rail to lead design and construction oversight for the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group.

You will manage multi-discipline teams, coordinate with clients and partners, ensure budgets and schedules, and guide projects through design-build and design-bid-build phases. A PE license and 20+ years in NY metro rail are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 10 years or more of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Professional Engineer License.

Responsibilities

• Manage design of transit rail projects in the NY Metro area.
• Oversee design phase from budgeting/schedule through procurement.
• Coordinate multi-discipline design teams to deliver quality outputs on time and within budget.
• Coordinate construction phase services for design-build and design-bid-build projects.
• Lead client and partner coordination and mentorship of mid-career staff.

Job Description

Senior Project Manager- Transit Rail to be based in New York, New York area working in the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group.

Responsibilities

• Perform project management responsibilities on design of transit rail projects in the NY Metro area
• Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies
• Responsible for administering the design phase of the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement
• Manage a multi-discipline design team to produce high quality design deliverables, meet schedules and stay within project budgets
• Coordinate construction phase services for both design-build and design-bid-build projects
• Ability to coordinate closely with clients, contractors and project partners
• Project types includes Design-Build, Development of Bridging Documents and Design-Bid-Build
• Respond to client issued RFQ and RFPs, provide guidance to marketing for Transit Rail pursuits
• Provide valuable leadership to mid-career staff and mentoring to develop their technical skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 10 years or more of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Professional Engineer License

Preferred Requirements

• 20+ Years of Experience with NY metro rail agencies including MTA, PA/NY/NJ and NJ Transit
• 15+ Years of Experience in Design Project Management Role
• Strong understanding of FRA and FTA requirements for project implementation
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $240000 to $280000.
