Job summary

Kimmel Associates is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the Charleston area to oversee multiple sitework construction projects and position for an Operations Manager role within 12–24 months.

The role focuses on leading project execution, mentoring project teams, and learning the company's operational systems and culture, with a clear path to executive leadership as the owner steps back.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience in sitework, heavy civil, utilities, or land development.
• Strong track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple sitework projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement and client relationships.
• Mentor project managers, engineers and field teams.
• Collaborate with estimating and field operations to ensure delivery.
• Monitor financial performance and maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, engineers and subs.
• Ensure safety, quality and schedule targets are met.
• Learn operational systems and management processes with leadership.
• Assume broader operational responsibilities as owner transitions.
