Job summary

Leopardo is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead its downtown Chicago JOC team. You will oversee administration, execution, and completion of large projects, manage budgets, schedules, and communications, and drive profitability and client relationships.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of construction leadership, tenant interiors experience, and a strong grasp of design, budgeting, and risk management. A LEED/OSHA background and Viewpoint familiarity are pluses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture related fields is required.
• 10+ years in progressively responsible role with extensive estimating experience and an understanding of the business side of construction; field experience is a plus.
• Experience working on tenant interiors construction projects.
• Proven record of success on large and/or complex projects.
• Deep understanding of each phase of the construction process, including architectural design and blueprinting.
• Significant training and experience with cutting edge technology, processes, and procedures; Viewpoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of overall administration, execution, and completion of complex and/or large-sized projects.
• Monitor productivity and profitability; manage communication between teams; resolve conflicts.
• Cultivate client & A/E relationships and lead preconstruction efforts.
• Prepare and incorporate general conditions into budgets; coordinate permits and project projections.
• Negotiate, award, and write subcontracts; manage bid/subcontractor risk.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules; prepare cost estimates and review invoices.
• Coordinate RFI’s, shop drawings, change orders, and required meetings.
• Ensure inspections, quality control, and closeout documentation.
