Job summary

Texas Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company in Texas is seeking a Project Manager within the PMO to oversee projects and enhancements through their lifecycles to achieve business objectives.

The role collaborates with Business Analysts, System Architects, and development staff, reporting progress, risks, and priorities to executives. A Bachelor's degree and CAPM-equivalent certification are preferred, with strong MS Office and project governance skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer, technical, or business administration related field from an accredited school with proven experience demonstrating skills required and managing products, enhancements, and/or projects.
• CAPM Certification or equivalent, preferred.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities to provide support to other project managers.
• Experience leading larger complex projects.
• Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.
• Strong knowledge of P&C insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of the needs of various business units.
• Expertise in use project management tools and methodology.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software required for this job.
• Expertise in the use of business/ technical analysis methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage projects and enhancements through their life cycles to achieve business objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate with executives on progress, impediments, and priority.
• Plan and manage projects efficiently and effectively; address problems through risk and issue management.
• Prepare charters with BA, SA, and required business units to address business requests.
• Collaborate with BA, SA, and development staff during enhancement and project cycles.
• Maintain knowledge of P&C Insurance industry and related regulations.
