Job summary

Cone Health is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate a variety of operational and strategic projects within our healthcare system. You will act as a project management consultant, advising operational leaders and aligning deliverables with the organization’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5-8 years of project management experience.
• PMI PMP or Agile Certified Professional (CSP/SAFe) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Strategic planning: Develops the overall approach for the project(s), its significant time frames, and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes.
• Team Leadership: Motivate and guide teams, build consensus, and make informed decisions.
• Budget Management: Monitor budgets and expenses, work with finance to ensure financial compliance, and control costs.
• Communication management: Communicate with sponsors to formulate agendas and convey information to diverse stakeholders.
• Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with hospital departments, physicians, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
• Regularly creates and presents project reports, including status updates and metrics to leadership.
• Performance monitoring: Track metrics and identify needs and changes, directing corrective actions.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
• Identifies and addresses issues, resolves priorities, and escalates as needed.
• Resource allocation: Optimize resource use across projects with portfolio manager involvement.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Coordinate dependencies across projects with diverse teams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
