Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large cross-functional initiatives across our business units. You will drive plans, schedules, budgets, and governance to deliver value on time and within scope, while mentoring junior staff and aligning with strategic objectives.

This on-site role requires a proven track record in managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders, and a focus on continuous improvement, risk management, and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant project management experience
• 2+ years leading cross-functional projects
• Advanced knowledge of project management frameworks and tools
• Experience managing high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
• Proven ability to align project execution with business strategy and manage scope/risk
• Advanced budgeting and governance skills

Responsible for delivering high-visibility projects that support strategic business objectives and operational improvements. Leads cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution within scope, schedule, and budget. Applies advanced project management expertise to manage risks, resolve issues, and drive stakeholder alignment. Contributes to the development of project delivery standards and mentors less experienced project managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant project management experience, managing cross-functional business projects.
• 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects
• Advanced knowledge of project management frameworks and tools used to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives
• Significant experience in managing high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and tight deadlines
• Proven ability to align project execution with business strategy, manage scope and risk, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
• Advanced skills in project planning, budgeting, and governance, with a focus on delivering value and mitigating delivery risks
• Experience with managing project teams, vendor relationships, and stakeholder communications across business units
• Strong ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse teams
• Advanced knowledge of performance metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement practices
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience

Desired Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Professional Certifications (e.g.,PMP, PgMP, or Lean/Agile certification)
• Experience with business process transformation or organizational change management is desirable.
• Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira) preferred.
