The Senior Project Manager – Search provides strategic oversight and leadership for the planning, execution, and analysis of multichannel marketing and enrollment strategy projects. This role acts as a mentor and guide to Project Managers and supports the broader team by implementing best practices, optimizing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client goals. With advanced expertise in higher education enrollment strategy, marketing, and project management tools, the Senior PM plays a key role in driving team success and fostering client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Oversight:
- Lead high-level client engagements, ensuring projects align with client objectives and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and Account Managers to optimize project strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Analyze project performance to implement continuous improvements and share insights with relevant teams.
- Task and Asset Management
- Evaluate and refine processes related to campaign execution, team collaboration, and client communication.
- Champion the use of tools like Asana and Tinman to streamline project workflows and maintain data integrity.
- Lead initiatives for process documentation, training, and adoption of new tools or methodologies.
- Team Development and Mentorship
- Serve as a mentor for Project Managers, providing guidance on best practices, problem-solving, and career development.
- Support onboarding efforts for new team members, including Project Associates, Coordinators, and Managers.
- Collaborate with PM leadership to foster a culture of accountability, communication, and professional growth.
- Client Communication and Relationship Management
- Serve as a search category senior point of contact for high-priority clients, providing strategic insights and updates.
- Partner with Account Managers to ensure consistent, proactive client communication.
- Facilitate complex client conversations, offering solutions to challenges and identifying new partnership opportunities.
- Enrollment Strategy and Marketing Execution:
- Provide guidance on campaign strategy, audience segmentation, and Slate CRM utilization.
- Oversee deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards, client expectations, and higher education marketing best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate enrollment strategies with broader marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of enrollment marketing, project management methodologies, and higher education admissions processes.
- Proficiency with project management tools like Asana, productivity tools like Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and CRM platforms like Slate.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching and developing team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with clients and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and lead process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborative and proactive approach, with a focus on team success and continuous learning.
- Effective communication and time management skills for a remote work environment as well as the ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of project management experience, with a strong focus on higher education marketing and enrollment strategy.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams, leading complex projects, and optimizing processes.
- Slate CRM experience preferred.
- Prior experience with cross-functional collaboration across creative, technical, and strategic teams.
