Senior Project Manager, Renewables (Solar/BESS, Independent Engineer)

Location: USA only - Remote or Hybrid

Our work focuses on enabling development of and investment in energy infrastructure. As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, engage with clients, and expand our independent engineering and owner’s advisory practice. You will join a dedicated team of industry experts to deliver technical diligence support and provide solutions for technical and commercial challenges. You will work across energy technologies and engage with clients and stakeholders on opportunities within the evolving energy industry.

Technical Advisory Services

We offer comprehensive advisory services supporting strategic investments, portfolio management, operational planning, market development, policy analysis, regulatory support, and customer engagement. Our team collaborates across divisions, integrating industry experience with advanced consulting and analytical skills. As a Senior Project Manager, your experience from power markets and engineering consulting will be vital. You will engage directly with client decision-makers at various levels. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

What You Will Do

• Conduct technical due diligence and support construction or project completion monitoring on energy assets.
• Manage project and client relationships.
• Provide technical input to project teams.
• Work within a team of varied technical expertise.
• Complete work within time and budget constraints.
• Ensure client satisfaction and develop long-term relationships.
• Support business development, including proposals and client pursuits.
• Stay informed on market activities and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical).
• 5+ years of energy industry/consulting experience.
• Site-based experience in utility-scale projects (solar, energy storage/BESS, biofuels, renewable tech).
• Experience as a senior project manager managing projects and teams.
• Experience with Independent or Owner’s Engineering.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for onsite visits.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• 6-8 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of commercial contracts for project development.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
