Senior Project Manager, Renewables (Solar/BESS, Independent Engineer)

Location: USA only - Remote or Hybrid

Our work focuses on enabling the development and investment in energy infrastructure. As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, engage with clients, and expand our independent engineering and owner’s advisory services. Join a team of industry experts delivering high-value technical diligence and solutions to mitigate technical and commercial challenges, working across various energy technologies and engaging with clients and stakeholders.

Technical Advisory offers comprehensive services supporting strategic investments, portfolio management, operational planning, market developments, policy analysis, regulatory support, and customer engagement. We collaborate across divisions, integrating industry experience with advanced consulting and analytical skills. Your role requires experience in power markets, independent engineering, and client engagement at managerial to senior levels. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

What you will do:

1. Conduct technical due diligence, support construction and project completion monitoring of energy assets.
2. Manage project and client relationships.
3. Provide technical input to multidisciplinary teams.
4. Work within a collaborative team environment.
5. Complete projects within time and budget constraints.
6. Ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.
7. Support business development and client proposals.
8. Stay informed on market activities and industry trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical).
• At least 5 years of energy industry or consulting experience.
• Site-based experience in engineering or managerial roles on utility-scale projects (solar, energy storage/BESS, biofuels, renewables).
• Experience as a senior project manager managing projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Independent Engineering/Owner's Engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for onsite visits.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• 6-8 years of relevant energy industry/consulting experience.
• 6-8 years of site-based engineering or managerial experience on utility-scale projects.
• Knowledge of key commercial contracts for project development.
• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team or independently.
