The Role

The Senior Project Manager oversees the daily management, coordination, and control of multiple projects or contracts. They serve as the primary leader, liaising between team members and clients, managing projects typically ranging from $2,000 to $500,000 each or $1.5 million annually, and may have direct reports.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
  • Extensive experience managing multiple projects, personnel, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Proficient in producing detailed fixed-price estimates using RS Means or similar resources
  • Deep knowledge of construction methods and procedures
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Strong abilities to adapt, demonstrate integrity, collaborate, communicate effectively, and mentor team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is highly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage projects to ensure completion within budget and schedule, adhering to contract requirements and safety/quality standards. Attend meetings, develop project scopes, review drawings and specifications, and manage project close-out processes.
  • Estimating: Review and prepare detailed estimates, perform quantity take-offs, and ensure all necessary line items are included.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate subcontractor buyouts, review proposals, negotiate agreements, and manage submittals.
  • Scheduling: Establish and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
  • Business Development: Engage with clients to understand their needs, support proposal processes, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality guidelines, including OSHA and USACE standards.

This role requires frequent travel between project sites, often miles apart, and may involve working in various weather conditions. Physical demands include walking uneven terrain, lifting weights, and visual acuity for detailed work.

The compensation range for this role is $87,000 to $180,120, based on experience and qualifications.
