Job summary

Luse Contracting Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Estimator to lead mechanical insulation projects in the Chicagoland area from inception through closeout. The role involves defining scope, timelines, and required resources, while building strong client relationships and coordinating across service lines to drive growth.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in mechanical insulation, a relevant engineering or construction degree, and a track record of managing $5M+ annual estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years in mechanical insulation.
• B.S. in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Annual estimating and project management in excess of $5 million.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage project development from inception to closeout (cradle to grave).
• Define scope, timeline and goals for each project and estimate required resources.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and subcontractors.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and training sessions.
• Collaborate across Luse service lines and geographies to grow the business.

Where you come in: Adding talent to our team is a key component of our ambitious growth plan. You will be responsible for estimating, securing and executing mechanical insulation projects across the greater Chicagoland area while fostering deep, trusted relationships with clients. You will be a critical member of our team and an extension of our brand to our clients and to the industry. Once established, you will be responsible for $3 to $6 million+ in annual sales and you will pride yourself in being the easy button for our clients.

• Direct and manage project development from inception to closeout ("cradle to grave").
• Define scope, timeline and goals for each project assigned and estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and subcontractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability for their work.
• Attend industry events, conferences, and training sessions.
• Collaborate across other Luse service lines and geographies to help grow our overall business.

Experience & education desired for this role include:

• Minimum of 7years of experience in mechanical insulation industry.
• B.S. in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related degree (or equivalent work experience).
• Annual estimating and project management in excess of $5million annually.

Skills required to excel in this position include:

• Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
• Managerial, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Presentation, sales and negotiation capabilities.
• Fiscal responsibility and ability to forecast with accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized estimating software.
• Field take off skills.
