Job summary

RTI International seeks a dynamic Project Manager to lead multiple preclinical development programs for medical therapies within RTI’s Laboratory Sciences and Engineering division. You’ll coordinate teams, manage milestones, and ensure strong communication across sponsors and scientists to advance early-stage solutions to patients.

Candidates should bring 8+ years in relevant development work or 4+ years with a Master’s, plus PMP certification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s level degree with 8+ years of experience in early-stage and preclinical therapeutic development projects.
  • Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience supporting early-stage and preclinical therapeutic development projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Track progress of ongoing project activities with project teams.
  • Track milestones, critical path activities, and deliverables; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with project teams, resources, and clients.
  • Plan studies and tasks with CRO staff or consultants as needed to finalize study protocols.
  • Summarize program information for responses, proposals, reports, and meetings.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple organizations.
