Kimley-Horn is seeking a Transportation Practice Builder to join our office in Coachella Valley, California (CA)!
Responsibilities
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit, creating a vision for growth in their personal practice while contributing to the growth of our transportation engineering practice in the local area and beyond
- Assists in marketing and business development efforts with our existing local municipal, state, and private clients, while delivering a wide variety of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and/or ITS-related projects with our growing team of transportation professionals
- Beyond serving our existing clients, has the ability to pursue own passions, project opportunities and clients
- Leadership responsibilities include:

- Growing and leading a Transportation practice
- Our Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor
- The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering
- At least 15 years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, traffic operations, and/or ITS planning and design
- Registered license (PE and/or TE)
- Track record of successfully winning and delivering work in Coachella Valley and surrounding communities
- Established relationships with local DOT, local agencies, and/or local municipalities
- Demonstrated ability to manage transportation projects profitably through agency specifications
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
Base Salary Range
- $145,000 - $250,000
- Eligible for performance-based bonus compensation
