Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Personal Electronics to lead cross‑functional teams from product initiation to release for volume production.

You will drive scope, cost and schedule with stakeholders and ensure milestones like tapeout and samples are met, while coordinating with design, test, eval and marketing functions. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in engineering project/program management, a degree in electrical/engineering, and excellent communication skills

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project development teams from initiation through customer release.
  • Define scope, costs and targets with key stakeholders for each project plan.
  • Drive execution to meet scope, cost and schedule.
  • Maintain project schedules with milestones such as tapeout, samples and release.
  • Manage project risk registers and communicate updates.
  • Coordinate design, test, eval, marketing and others to meet milestones.
  • Handle change requests impacting schedule and cost.
  • Track performance in the PM system against milestones.
  • Lead post-release reviews and share lessons learned.
  • Engage with customers through meetings and updates as needed.

Senior Project Manager- Personal Electronics The Group: The charter of ADI’s Personal Electronics (PES) team is to lead the market in selected technology domains with highly differentiated sensing, signal processing and power solutions. Today these technology areas include Audio, Battery Management and Power which drive major growth in our portable Consumer business. With a goal to deliver sustainable growth the PES group will present the successful candidate with a great opportunity for continuous career development as part of a highly motivated and supportive team.

The Position

The PES product technology group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead teams working on the development of new product solutions for next generation portable product applications. The successful candidate will lead project development teams taking responsibility for planning, execution, and delivery from product initiation through to release of the final solution in volume to the customer.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Ensure that the appropriate level of due diligence is applied to the business justification for a project prior to the project entering the development phase.
  • Co-ordinate with key project stakeholders to define the scope, full factory cost and total development cost targets for each project plan.
  • Drive project execution to meet the scope, cost, and schedule to plan.
  • Ensure that the project schedule is maintained and key project milestones of tapeout, samples and release date are achieved.
  • Work with key stakeholders to generate and actively manage a project risk register
  • Ensure that each development function (Design, Test, Eval, Marketing etc.) is aware of the key milestone commitments and all critical information and changes relating to the project through team meetings and other communication.
  • Manage project change requests which may fundamentally impact the schedule and cost of the project.
  • Track and record in PLE the performance of the project to key milestones.
  • Ensure post-release review (AAR) of the project is completed as required and appropriate Lessons Learned are shared with all key stakeholders.
  • Work directly and closely with key customers as required, scheduling and chairing regular meetings and delivering project updates as necessary.
The Candidate
  • Ideally have 10+ years’ experience in an Engineering Project/Program Manager role working with large multinational companies
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
  • Strong Knowledge of MS Office Tools
  • Strong planning skills are essential
  • Ability to drive tasks to completion through close coordination with multiple groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Job Req Type: Experienced Required Travel: Yes, 10% of the time Shift Type: 1st Shift/Days The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $161,700 to $234,150. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors. This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
