Position Summary
In this role, you will work on exciting, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects as you develop your skills in estimating, financials, and project management within the design-build construction process.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to ensure your team meets or exceeds the project delivery contractually and financially.
- Measure and report progress, develop tactics to stay on track.
- Develop client relationships by providing project status updates to clients and leadership.
- Partner with management to develop and implement project strategies.
- Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc.
- Participate in project meetings with internal departments to discuss schedule and issues.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure project scope and direction are on schedule.
- Delegate work and serve as mentor to project team, providing coaching and feedback.
- Direct and motivate teams through all phases of large-scale projects, celebrating successes and problem-solving challenges.
- Mentor Project Managers and Engineers to prepare them for advancement, aligning with our core value of “People.”
- Utilize and pioneer the latest industry trends.
- Develop and nurture long-term customer relationships.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- Experience managing large, complex projects with process piping.
- Extensive experience managing multiple HVAC construction projects, with a deep understanding of project financials and schedules.
- Ability to build the job, plan work, and oversee pre-fabrication.
- Strategic planning skills for 6-9 months outlooks.
- Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and design engineering systems.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Proven management of multiple large projects.
- Strong public speaking and proposal presentation skills.
- Authentic leadership with integrity and a focus on team development.
- Accountability and initiative in project management.
- Creative problem-solving skills based on real-world experience.
What You Bring To The Table
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- 15+ years of experience managing mid to large size MEP projects.
