Job summary

Stantec’s Austin studio seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex architectural projects across higher education, civic and cultural, healthcare, and workplace sectors. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design and construction, mentor staff, and grow client relationships while delivering design excellence and project value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architecture; RA required.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible architectural experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on complex building projects.
• Strong client relationship development and business development experience.
• Proficient in budgeting, scheduling, invoicing and project forecasting.
• Knowledge of building systems, codes, accessibility, life safety.
• LEED credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple large, complex architectural projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Serve as primary client contact with strong relationships and technical excellence.
• Collaborate on business development, client positioning, proposals, and pursuits.
• Develop and manage work plans, schedules, budgets, staffing and financial performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and owners.
• Monitor scope, schedule, budget and risks; ensure program and design intent goals.
• Lead meetings and manage contract administration, change orders, and project documentation.
• Forecast staffing needs with Operations and Practice Leadership; mentor junior staff.
• Ensure timely project closeout and client satisfaction.
