Job summary

Satterfield and Pontikes Construction, Inc. in Austin is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead project execution from preconstruction through closeout on $20M–$300M projects across education, healthcare, aviation, mixed-use, and large industrial warehouses.

You will build strong client and partner relationships, manage scope, budgets, schedules, safety, and quality, and mentor project staff while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
• 3+ years of PM experience on projects valued at $25M+.
• Knowledge of commercial construction practices, controls, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Experience managing large-scale education, healthcare, aviation, mixed-use, or industrial projects preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with CM software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Promote and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Review, monitor, and coordinate approvals of shop drawings and submittals.
• Develop schedules of values and obtain billing approvals from architects and owners.
• Partner with Superintendents to ensure contract compliance and project objectives.
• Oversee the project Quality Control Program.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost control adjustments.
• Manage and process project change orders.
• Formulate, maintain, and monitor all required project reports and logs.
• Schedule, attend, and lead project meetings, owner meetings, and project closeout walkthroughs.
• Monitor project schedules, financial performance, and overall project progress.
• Coordinate with project teams to proactively identify and resolve challenges.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop project staff.
