IA Interior Architects is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Boston Studio. You will lead mid-to-large scale design projects, coordinate engineering and staff, and manage budgets and client relationships throughout from concept to delivery.

The role demands extensive knowledge of interior architecture, building systems, and contract negotiations, with strong leadership and communication skills for collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of architecture, design or business school; equivalent experience may be substituted.
• 12+ years’ experience producing design projects.

Responsibilities

• Manages medium and large projects to completion, coordinating internal and external resources.
• Coordinates engineering work to ensure compliance with design concept.
• Coordinates project teams to ensure timely completion of documents.
• Shapes and understands design concepts with design and technical teams.
• Presents concepts to the client and gains approval.
• Establishes and maintains project budget and flags variances.
• Manages collections for assigned projects and communicates with Finance.
• Identifies and pursues opportunities with existing and potential clients.
• Assigns tasks, oversees staff, and provides feedback.
• Develops staff skills for future projects.
• Manages overall client relationship from initial assessment to final delivery.
