ABB is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead medium-size industrial projects from New Berlin, WI, with a hybrid work model. HUB Execution Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid in New Berlin, WI.
This role is contributing to the Motion - High Power Division in the USA.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
Monitoring and controlling project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, managing project risk, and ensuring all opportunities are identified and pursued.
Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
Take commercial and technical responsibility for your projects and manage effectively by structuring, planning, budgeting, and execution from delivery until end of warranty
Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, and manages project risks, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyzes, and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
8+ years of experience in Project Management of industrial projects
Knowledge of low and/or medium voltage variable speed drives, transformers, motors, switchgear, e-house
Project management certification, PMP preferred
Proficiency in use of ERP system, experience in SAP preferred
University degree in Engineering, Electrical engineering preferred
