Sletten Construction Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee current and future industrial construction projects. The role requires leading day-to-day operations across multiple sites from the Las Vegas area, driving teamwork and delivering results aligned with company goals.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in project management, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of managing complex projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in construction management/engineering or related field is required.
• At least 10+ years of project management/leadership experience in construction; industrial or wastewater experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions.
• Direct on-site superintendent activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget; investigate and correct issues.
• Assist with project pursuit and procurement including RFQ responses and interviews.
• Prepare subcontracts and maintain project schedules.
• Provide ongoing staff development and enforce Sletten’s safety culture.
• Forecast project tasks, timelines, and responsibilities; manage field resources.
• Learn and utilize ProCore, Viewpoint, and other industry software.
• Ensure vehicle fleet and equipment are maintained and Sletten's policies are followed.
• Promote zero-accident safety goals and incident documentation.

He/She will provide leadership to take charge of challenging projects, encourage teamwork, and supply the energy and enthusiasm required to achieve company goals and objectives. All business will be conducted in accordance with Sletten Construction Company's mission and vision statements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and assist in staffing key field positions


• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of an on-site superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures


• Assist with project pursuit and procurement including preparation of RFQ responses and interviews


• Prepare subcontracts


• Maintain and update project schedules


• Participate in employee continuing education in-house or through outside programs


• Counsel and, when needed, terminate unsatisfactory or unneeded employees


• Forecast what is to be done on a regular basis, when, and by whom


• Learn and utilize ProCore, Viewpoint and other relevant industry software


• Ensure vehicle fleet and equipment are maintained and Sletten's Vehicle policies are upheld


• Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company


• Support our goal of achieving zero accidents


• Investigate and document all accidents

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, building science, etc.) or related discipline


• 10+ years of work experience in project management, contracting, engineering, or construction management; industrial or wastewater experience is preferred


• Past leadership experience required


• Superior communication and interpersonal skills


• Developed office management and organizational skills


• Valid driver's license and ability to be insured


• Excellent time management skills

• This position reports to Division Manager


• Office location is in Las Vegas, NV


• Office and field environment requiring sitting and standing


• Travel to various construction sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk
