Job summary

BIC Recruiting seeks a Senior Project Manager for La Porte, Texas, to lead large-scale industrial construction and capital projects. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, safety, and client engagement to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with engineering specs and quality standards.

The role requires 7+ years of PM experience in industrial settings; strong leadership, safety focus, and excellent stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive project management experience within industrial construction
• Experience managing large-scale capital projects in refining, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments
• Experience managing mechanical construction projects valued up to $250MM
• Strong project controls, scheduling, and financial management experience
• Thorough understanding of industrial construction methods, equipment, technology, and project execution practices
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders
• Strong client relationship, contract management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Proven leadership ability with a focus on safety, quality, accountability, and project performance

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple large-scale capital and industrial construction projects within mechanical systems, utilities, petrochemical, and oil & gas sectors
• Provide overall project leadership from planning through completion and closeout
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and construction strategies
• Oversee project controls, cost forecasting, productivity, contracts, change orders, and financial performance
• Partner with field operations and craft leadership to ensure efficient execution per plans
• Maintain strong safety culture and compliance with safety requirements
• Lead project teams with clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards
• Identify and resolve issues, risks, and challenges with internal teams and clients
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and key stakeholders
• Participate in contract negotiations, client meetings, and project reviews
