Job summary

Gray Construction in Lexington is seeking a Project Manager to join our local office. You will coordinate interrelated activities of subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and customers, and oversee design and engineering efforts.

Responsibilities include monitoring project finances, developing progress schedules, procuring materials, and negotiating contracts. You will report on status, review submittals, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Ten to fifteen years of experience in construction management.
• Lead project manager experience on large industrial construction projects (7–10 years).
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interrelating activities of subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and customers, design and engineering efforts.
• Monitor and report on the financial status of the project(s) and handle subcontract and contract administration.
• Develop job progress schedules to ensure construction aligns with the schedule.
• Purchase and monitor delivery of materials at optimal prices and quality.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and vendors; define work responsibilities clearly.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor payment requests.
• Issue changes to receive timely prices from subcontractors.
• Prepare reports to manage projects, such as progress schedules, billings and status reports.
• Supervise project support team members and subcontractors.
