About the Role

PADCOM Design & Construction Management Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager II to provide advanced oversight and leadership for LAUSD construction programs.

This role builds upon Senior Project Manager responsibilities by providing enhanced leadership over OAR teams and ensuring alignment across multiple large-scale projects. The position plays a critical role in program execution, coordination, and strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and provide construction oversight to OAR teams.

Resolve complex construction project issues and disputes.

Assign and monitor OAR performance across multiple projects.

Review project progress relative to construction schedules.

Evaluate change orders and their impact on cost and schedule.

Support bid planning and contract development.

Assess bid specifications for alignment with District needs.

Monitor program‑level cost and schedule performance.

Review and approve contractor payment applications.

Oversee contract administration for architects and consultants.

Coordinate with District departments and stakeholders across multiple programs.

Support dispute resolution and implement corrective actions.

Develop and recommend internal policies and procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Candidates may meet the education requirement through one of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
• Bachelor’s degree in any field with ability to obtain CCM within one year
• More than 20 years of construction/project management experience with CCM required within one year
• Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential

Experience

Minimum 17 years of professional project/construction management experience

At least 5 years managing large programs with projects exceeding $50 million

At least 5 years of experience in educational facilities, public works, or large commercial construction

Preferred Qualifications

Design-Build experience

Experience with BIM

LEED or CHPS project experience

Familiarity with DSA processes

Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer

CCM certification

Work Conditions & Requirements

Onsite position at active school construction sites
