Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I to provide leadership to one large project or multiple projects, overseeing quality, timeliness, safety, and mentoring the project team.

You will develop and improve customer relationships by providing excellent service with strong written and verbal communication across all levels. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight years of construction/project management or related experience.
• Ability to manage multiple large, complex projects.
• Active listening and effective communication including openness to input/feedback.
• Understand construction law and standard business practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, project management tools, and related web apps.
• Positive professional attitude and strong customer service.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies and standards.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager I to provide overall leadership direction to one large project or multiple projects to include the management of project quality, timeliness, safety, as well as mentoring the project team. You will develop and improve customer relationships by providing excellent service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise overall financial health of projects
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections

The base pay range for this role is $144,300 MIN - $216,500 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
