Job summary

Conrad Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager – Highway/Traffic to lead planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects across New Jersey. You will manage complex programs, build strong client relationships, and mentor engineering teams.

Responsibilities include overseeing highway geometry, traffic studies, signal design, and roadway safety improvements; coordinating with NJDOT, counties, and municipalities; and supporting business development through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required; NJ licensure preferred or eligible via reciprocity.
• 10+ years of progressive highway/traffic engineering experience.
• Proven experience managing transportation projects for NJDOT, counties, and municipalities.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, NJDOT standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client-relations skills.
• Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Synchro, HCS, or similar software preferred.

• Serve as the primary client contact for public and private sector transportation projects
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Prepare project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Oversee highway geometric design, traffic studies, traffic signal design, roadway safety improvements, and transportation planning initiatives
• Coordinate with NJDOT, county agencies, municipalities, and other regulatory organizations
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and networking
• Mentor junior engineers and project staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
