Job summary

Jobot, a leading national contractor in electrical infrastructure, is seeking an accomplished engineering leader for high-voltage transmission and distribution projects. You will drive engineering activities from design through construction and closeout, providing technical oversight and coordinating with operations, field teams, and clients to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in engineering or management, a relevant engineering degree, and a track record

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering or engineering management experience in utility or high-voltage infrastructure.
• Engineering degree; PE license preferred.
• Strong background in transmission, distribution, substation, utilities, civil, or electrical engineering.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contracts, estimating, and project controls.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts across all project phases and support field operations as needed.
• Oversee external engineering firms, set performance expectations, and review deliverables.
• Maintain engineering standards, documentation practices, and quality controls.
• Forecast resource needs, manage staffing plans, and mentor engineering team members.
• Support proposal development, customer meetings, and overall project planning.
• Drive process improvements and integrate new technologies into engineering workflows.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and technical excellence.
• Stay current on industry codes, best practices, and emerging trends.
