Job summary

Primetals Technologies is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Project Operations in Canonsburg, PA to lead large, turnkey projects from pre-booking through customer acceptance, delivering project excellence and measurable outcomes.

You will develop and supervise project plans, coordinate a matrix team, manage risk and finances, ensure on-time delivery, and maintain customer satisfaction across project phases, with occasional travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in technical execution of projects for heavy industry; metals industry experience preferred.
• Understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these in managing assigned projects.
• Construction/site management experience of large turnkey projects.
• Self-starter with experience in meeting project deliverables, working in a matrix team environment where everyone pulls together.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 20% and internationally up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Managing large, complex turnkey jobs or multiple projects from pre-booking to customer acceptance.
• Managing the development of project plans in advance of project activity, ensuring effective execution by the Project Team and monitoring the project’s progress to ensure compliance with the pre-determined execution plan.
• Supervising and directing the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, startup, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project and upon project completion.
• Bringing each project to a successful conclusion while learning and developing your career.
