Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a permanent role focused on heavy highway construction in New Jersey. You will lead complex projects from planning through completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in PM and estimation in civil construction.
• Experience in heavy highway construction is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment.
• Ability to read/understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong problem-solving with results focus.
• Proficiency with PM software tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and execution of heavy highway projects to hit deadlines and budget.
• Create comprehensive project plans aligning client needs with company goals.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets (labor, materials, etc.).
• Monitor progress and produce regular milestone/deliverable reports.
• Communicate proactively to identify issues, drive solutions, and improve efficiency.
• Review proposed changes and contract updates with legal teams as needed.
• Negotiate terms with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
