Job summary

DCS Contracting, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in heavy civil construction to lead multiple projects in the Greater Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of construction-related project management experience with a general contractor.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and leading project teams in the heavy civil construction industry.
• Previous experience mentoring and developing project management personnel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple project teams from project startup through project closeout.
• Develop new and maintain existing client relationships for long-term success.
• Serve as the liaison between client representatives and project teams regarding project status, challenges, and progress.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project contracts and specifications while ensuring project teams do the same.
• Create, manage, and oversee project schedules while coordinating with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA safety standards on all assigned projects.
• Monitor project plans, specifications, quality standards, and operational efficiencies to ensure successful project execution.
• Provide oversight and support to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and other field resources.
• Train and mentor Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Interns through structured coaching and professional development.
• Review and support critical project management deliverables including: Monthly budget reviews, Job cost and labor productivity reports, Quantity tracking and discrepancy resolution, Budget variance analysis, Change order logs, Monthly billing deliverables, CPM schedules.
• Coach and mentor staff to improve effectiveness, leadership skills, and overall project performance.
• Help develop project teams by strengthening technical knowledge related to plans, specifications, contracts, cost models, and project controls.
• Identify employee strengths and opportunities for development and provide guidance to help individuals reach their potential.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
