Job summary

Certerra is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead growth and execution of Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspections for major infrastructure projects. You will manage client relationships, pursue opportunities, and oversee technical service delivery, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes transportation, water resources, and utility projects with strong proposal development and team leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Geology, or a related discipline preferred.
• 8–15 years of experience in construction materials testing, special inspections, geotechnical engineering, or construction quality assurance.
• 5+ years of project management and client management experience.
• Proven ability in proposal preparation, fee development, project pursuits, and business development.
• Strong understanding of construction materials testing, inspection services, and QA programs.
• Experience supporting large public infrastructure projects and agency clients.
• Proven ability to manage project financial performance, staffing, and client expectations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact for transportation, infrastructure, water resources, and public works projects.
• Lead preparation of proposals, qualifications, fee estimates, and technical scopes of work.
• Manage multiple heavy civil projects from award through completion.
• Coordinate resources and schedules with laboratories, field testing, and inspection teams.
• Monitor risks, budgets, and client satisfaction; drive on-time, on-budget delivery.
