Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks a seasoned Project Manager for heavy civil construction in Nashville, TN. You will manage civil projects from concept to completion, lead site teams, coordinate with clients and subs, and ensure schedules, budgets, and safety compliance are met.

The role requires extensive PM experience in heavy civil work, fluency with plans and geotechnical data, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Competitive salary with bonus potential and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of heavy civil PM experience.
• Ability to read grading and utility plans and geotechnical data.
• Knowledge of earthwork and site utility equipment and materials.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
• Excellent math and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead diverse crews and maintain harmony.

Responsibilities

• Attend client/sub meetings to understand project requirements.
• Compare budget and bid documents to check alignment.
• Develop site-specific project plans.
• Inspect shop drawings, manufacturing, and installations to design intent and contract documents.
• Lead subcontractors and supervision on the site.
• Responsible for permits, licenses, access, etc.
• Lead in developing and planning overall project schedule.
• Anticipate problems and be proactive in problem solving.
• Understand quantity take-offs and how to evaluate cut/fill.
• Lead Field Superintendents on your projects.
