Insight Global in Prosper, Texas is seeking a Project Manager to serve as the Team Lead for PMO operations and capital projects within its natural gas distribution business. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of project management leadership, Waterfall delivery experience, and strong stakeholder communication.
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to serve as the Team Lead supporting Project Management Office (PMO) operations and capital projects within its natural gas distribution organization. This role will act as the primary client-facing lead, supporting the client's current project engineers, while coordinating delivery teams and ensuring project governance, reporting, and administrative processes are executed consistently and efficiently.
This individual will be responsible for balancing hands-on project execution with team leadership, stakeholder communication, and process oversight, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the client's standards.
Serve as the Team Lead supporting PMO and capital project initiatives
Act as the primary liaison (SPOC) between client stakeholders and delivery teams
Support projects across the full lifecycle: initiation through closeout
Manage project schedules, trackers, dashboards, and performance reporting
Develop, track, and report KPIs including schedule, budget, and resource utilization
Prepare weekly reports, dashboards, and Quarterly Business Reviews
Identify risks, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with the client’s processes and PMO standards
Provide day-to-day guidance to support project staff, resolve escalations, bridge the gap between the client stakeholders and our internal team.

10+ years of project management leadership experience
Previous people management experience leading teams of approximately 5-10 resources
Strong background managing all three core pillars of project delivery:
Scope: Led projects end-to-end, from planning and requirements gathering through execution and completion
Schedule: Developed detailed project plans and timelines by translating business requirements into actionable workstreams
Budget: Managed project financials, tracked costs, and maintained budget accountability throughout the project lifecycle
Experience developing and maintaining:
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Training materials and user documentation
Process and workflow documentation
Primarily Waterfall project management experience
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable engaging with executive leadership and senior-level stakeholders - PMP, PMI, or equivalent project management certification
Demonstrated experience supporting capital projects in regulated utility environments
Background in construction project management, engineering, or related disciplines
Utility scheduling, planning, and project controls experience preferred
Previous experience utilizing PowerPlan for project and financial management
Eagerness to grow and develop within the utilities sector, with a long-term commitment to the industry
