Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager III to lead complex natural gas construction and infrastructure projects from development through closeout in Austin, Texas.

You will collaborate with leadership, engineers, operations, consultants, and customers to deliver projects safely and efficiently. The role requires strong PM fundamentals, proven construction experience, and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering technology, business administration or related field; 5–7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with gas distribution infrastructure design, construction methods, and project durations.
• Experience with scheduling principles, budgeting, contracts, and financial indicators.
• Ability to read/write fluently in English; strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide full lifecycle project management for natural gas construction projects from initiation to closure.
• Oversee on-time delivery, monitor deadlines, scope, budget and costs.
• Develop scope, schedule, and milestones; ensure permits, easements, and safety plans are in place.
• Lead design reviews, economic evaluations, and contract negotiations with developers as needed.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for design changes and issue resolution.
• Monitor progress and provide updates to stakeholders; travel as required.
