Job summary

The Project Manager position requires the coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects considered small to medium in complexity withfinancial impactbetween $3M and $5M. The Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Facilitate the execution of project/program solution plan for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs.
  • Be responsible fordelivery of results for the respective process steps.
  • Guide technical or administrative staff
  • Act as a functional process resource on projects or programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvementplan.
  • Performactiverole inmaintainingfunctionally focused client relationships.
  • Be responsible forseveral projects of varying size.
  • ObtainPM@Siemenscertification for C Projects ($2.5M).
  • Review project specifications,drawingsand project-specific documents to establish project intent.
  • Develop andmaintaina project schedule and coordinates needs with the project team.Identifytime-sensitive installation needs.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
  • Review plans and specifications andparticipatein project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
  • Track resources and project progress.
  • Document project events thatimpactthe schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
  • Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinate withAccountingteam and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
  • Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with related industry experience
  • Must be able todemonstrateability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • 5 + years of technical experience in the HVAC controls, fire and life safety, OR security access/CCTV industry
  • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
  • Knowledgeable of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulation
  • NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred
