Jaros, Baum & Bolles (JB&B) invites a Senior Project Manager to lead MEP projects through all construction phases in a hybrid New York environment. You will serve as the primary client contact for owners, consultants, and trade partners, guiding multidisciplinary teams via meetings and decisions while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety.

You will mentor Project Managers, contribute to contract workflows, and support business development within Trinity’s Built Environment division.

Qualifications

• BS degree in ME, EE, AE, CE or CM; MS in Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in roles like Project Engineer, Senior Field Engineer, Project Manager, or Owner Rep.
• Expert understanding of MEP systems, equipment rooms, shafts, risers & POE design practices.
• Experience delivering projects from inception to completion in commercial/healthcare/high-rise sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP projects through all construction phases, as primary client contact for owners and partners.
• Drive on-site coordination, RFIs, submittals, observations, and corrective actions to keep schedule.
• Develop schedules for engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and closeout milestones.
• Oversee pre-construction, bid reviews, change orders, cost control, and stakeholder communications.
• Apply expertise to guide technical decisions and ensure quality across the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop Project Managers, support contract workflows and business development.

About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager has an expert understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing/ Fire Protection (MEP) systems design and commands coordination and management of MEP disciplines throughout the construction phase. The Senior Project Manager has developed communication, interpersonal, coordination, project management and leadership skills and actively participates in mentoring and development of Project Manager. The Senior Project Manager is expected to proactively coordinate, communicate, and problem solve across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead MEP projects through all phases of construction, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, owners, consultants, trade partners, and the broader project team while representing all MEP disciplines in meetings and key decisions.
• Drive project execution through active site presence, field coordination, issue resolution, and management of RFIs, submittals, observations, and corrective actions to keep work progressing on schedule.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules covering engineering, coordination, procurement, installation, start-up, testing, commissioning, closeout, and critical DOB/PAA-related milestones.
• Oversee pre-construction, subcontractor scope review, bid management, change orders, cost control, and stakeholder communication using issue logs, document management systems, and collaboration tools.
• Apply advanced expertise in MEP systems design, construction processes, drawing documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination to guide technical decisions, resolve conflicts, and ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support commissioning, punch list, turnover, and closeout activities while mentoring Project Managers, contributing to internal initiatives, and assisting with contract workflows, invoicing, proposals, business development, and marketing efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS Degree in ME, EE, AE, CE or CM required; MS in Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following areas of focus: Project Engineer in a Design Firm, Construction Senior Field Engineer, Construction Project Manager, CM Procurement Agent, CM Cost Control/ Estimating Manager, Owner Representative or related field
• Possesses expert understanding of MEP systems, equipment rooms, shafts, risers & POE rooms design practices
• Experience completing many projects during the construction administration phase from inception to completion required
• Experience in the following business sectors required: Commercial Office, Hospital, Higher Education, Residential Tower or Multi-use High-rise construction
• Strong CM contract and subcontractor estimating review experience required
• Knowledge of critical care MEP systems design, installation and maintenance practices preferred

Estimated compensation range: $115,000 - $150,000 annual salary
