Job summary

JB&B, now part of Trinity Built Environment, is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer for our New York office. You will work on a variety of MEP projects, collaborating with senior engineers to gain hands-on experience and mentorship while delivering client solutions.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering by Summer 2026 and 0–1 years of experience, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required (by Summer 2026).
• 0-1 years of MEP design engineering experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated success collaborating in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of design software tools, Revit and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks on fit-out, base building, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans.
• Assist in planning and coordinating routing of major distribution systems, equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers.
• Review shop drawings and perform site visits and punch lists under senior supervision.
• Work on electrical distribution, circuiting, and calculations for electrical systems.
• Lay out switchgear, generators, and panels; perform basic load and voltage drop calculations using software.
• Conduct site surveys, punch lists, and design reviews.

About the Role

$79,000-$82,000 annual salary
