Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a licensed environmental engineer to develop and maintain a municipal client base and water/wastewater utilities, lead project teams, and manage budgets.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer is required.
• Experience in drinking water, wastewater and/or stormwater design.
• Ability to lead and schedule staff to meet project needs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client base of municipal clients and water/wastewater utilities.
• Recognize and initiate business development opportunities.
• Perform and check environmental engineering calculations.
• Prepare contract proposals and cost estimates.
• Participate in the preparation and checking of environmental construction drawings.
• Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks within a project.
• Monitor project schedules and budgets.
• Lead and mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate projects with other business units, as required.
