America At Work is conducting a search for an experienced Senior Project Manager - Engineering & Capital Projects on behalf of a well-established engineering and project management organization serving major industrial clients.

The role leads engineering, procurement, and capital projects up to $60M TIC, with responsibilities from proposal through closeout, including scope, schedule, cost, and client leadership in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical discipline is required.
• 8+ years of related engineering/project experience.
• At least 4 years of project management experience on complex heavy industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of the capital project lifecycle: FEL, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction support.
• Hands-on experience with project controls, scheduling, estimating, cost management, forecasting, and change management.
• Strong client-facing communication and project leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven industrial environment.
• Hybrid schedule based in Ferndale, Washington.

Responsibilities

America At Work is conducting a search for an experienced Senior Project Manager - Engineering & Capital Projects on behalf of a well-established engineering and project management organization serving major industrial clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project leader to manage engineering, procurement, and capital projects up to approximately $60M TIC, from proposal and front-end planning through detailed design, procurement, construction support, and closeout.

The ideal candidate brings strong EPC/EPCM project management experience within refining, oil & gas, chemicals, energy, or other heavy industrial environments.

What You'll Do

• Lead small- to mid-size industrial capital projects up to approximately $60M TIC

• Manage projects from proposal development through engineering, procurement, construction support, and closeout

• Own project scope, schedule, cost, forecasting, change management, and overall execution

• Develop engineering project proposals and execution strategies

• Lead client, contractor, and internal project meetings

• Manage project controls, resource planning, estimating, and cost performance

• Review project invoices and financial performance

• Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, engineering teams, and project stakeholders

• Identify value-engineering and continuous-improvement opportunities

• Ensure projects meet applicable health, safety, environmental, and client requirements

• Support nearby refinery/client sites as required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience

• 8+ years of related engineering/project experience

• At least 4 years of project management experience involving complex heavy industrial or engineering projects

• Strong understanding of the complete capital project lifecycle, including FEL, detailed engineering/design, procurement, and construction support

• Hands-on experience with project controls, scheduling, estimating, cost management, forecasting, and change management

• Strong client-facing communication and project leadership skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, schedule-driven industrial environment

• Ability to work a hybrid schedule based in Ferndale, Washington

Preferred Qualifications

• EPC/EPCM capital project experience

• Refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, or similar heavy industrial experience

• Experience with phase-gate / stage-gate capital project delivery

• Experience managing projects in the $10M-$60M+ TIC range

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet applicable industrial/client-site requirements, which may include:

• TWIC card or ability to obtain one before starting

• Required refinery/client safety training

• Background and driving-record screening

• Participation in applicable drug and alcohol testing programs
