Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale projects within our Network Control business across the Americas. You will manage complex programs, build strong customer relationships, and ensure outcomes that power smarter grids.

The role requires 8+ years of PM experience, PMI certification, and travel up to 10%. Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred; knowledge of power systems and market management software is a plus. This position is based in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of project management experience on large-scale commercial projects.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams across geographies.
• Strong knowledge of power systems and market management systems.
• Project Management Certification (PMI or equivalent) required.
• 10% travel.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; experience with mission-critical software solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams to create a positive experience.
• Oversee financial performance and resource planning for optimal efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on track and successful.
• Prepare clear, actionable reports for stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Negotiate and manage contracts to maximize value for Hitachi Energy.
• Drive continuous improvement and foster a customer-focused culture.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
