Job summary

TekPro is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Electrical Construction in Chicagoland to oversee complex electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage multiple projects, prepare estimates, coordinate field operations, and maintain client relationships, ensuring on-time, on-budget completion.

The ideal candidate has extensive commercial electrical construction experience, strong estimating and leadership skills, and deep knowledge of NEC and Chicago Electrical Code.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial electrical construction project management experience.
• Strong estimating experience with bid, budget, and cost forecast preparation.
• Thorough knowledge of NEC, Chicago Electrical Code, and commercial construction practices.
• Experience managing high-rise, office towers, healthcare facilities, educational campuses, sports venues, or large commercial developments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Senior Project Manager – Electrical Construction

TekPro is partnered with a well-established commercial electrical contractor in Chicagoland in their search for Senior PM! You will oversee complex electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This leadership role is responsible for managing multiple projects, preparing estimates, coordinating field operations, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Projects include high-rise residential developments, office buildings, mixed-use facilities, healthcare and institutional buildings, sports and entertainment venues, manufacturing facilities, and other large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical construction, excellent estimating and project management skills, and a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Chicago Electrical Code.

Position is open due to significant business growth, with an influx of high-profile electrical projects for professional sports arenas and high-rises in Chicago.
