Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. in Edgerton, WI, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from qualification through closeout. You’ll collaborate with the superintendent and field team to meet budgets and timelines and mentor project staff.

The role requires 8+ years of PM experience in electrical construction or related fields, union experience, and strong leadership with a proven ability to develop teams and manage customer/subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project. Experience with Accubid Classic preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.
• Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; At least five (5) years of Project Manager level experience in electrical construction or related activities in a leadership role and managing projects.
• Driving Record: Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee high-performance project teams over multiple projects.
• Provide mentorship and training to employees to ensure growth and development.
• Generate and maintain a team environment inclusively soliciting input from all team members.
• Manage and lead projects and project teams successfully from qualification, through estimate, pre-construction, mobilization, execution, and closeout.
• Collaborate with Superintendent and field team to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Identify project risks and potential issues. Develop and execute recovery action plans.
• Manage project financials, track budget variance, project job cost and productivity, and report on financial performance.
• Successfully negotiate with internal and external project stakeholders.
• Act as key point of contact with customers and end-user owners. Manage and develop customer and subcontractor relationships. Source and qualify new opportunities.
