Job summary

Leap29 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex solar and energy storage projects from NTP through COD and handover. You will own end-to-end delivery including budget, schedule, contracts, risk, quality, compliance and stakeholder management while mentoring other PMs.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Project Execution, the role demands strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven track record delivering multi-site EPC programs with travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of project management experience in solar/energy sectors.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects from NTP to completion.
• Strong knowledge of C&I, community solar, construction methods, and regulatory processes.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants and vendors.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem solving.
• Willingness to travel 15-25% to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, regulatory, contractual, and company standards.
• Manage certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements where applicable.
• Build strong relationships with clients, utilities, AHJs, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management.

Leap29 are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a growing renewable energy business, reporting to the Managing Director, Project Execution. The role will lead the delivery of complex solar and energy projects from NTP through construction, COD, and final handover.

The Senior Project Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, schedule, budget, contracts, risk, quality, compliance, and stakeholder management, while also providing leadership and mentoring to other Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex projects from NTP through construction, commissioning, COD, and final completion.

• Lead and manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years' project management experience within solar, energy storage, electrical infrastructure, or a related sector.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects from NTP through COD and final completion.
• Strong knowledge of C&I and/or community solar, construction methodologies, utility/AHJ processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Strong commercial understanding of budgets, forecasting, contracts, and project controls.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Willingness to travel 15-25% to project sites.
