We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager with a background in the development and construction of distributed generation solar and battery energy storage projects. The successful candidate will have experience managing projects across various stages of the project lifecycle, including late-stage development, pre-construction, Notice to Proceed (NTP), construction, commissioning, and close-out.
This position is well suited to an experienced EPC professional who combines strong project management capabilities with a hands‑on, solutions‑oriented approach. The individual will operate in a fast‑paced and entrepreneurial environment and will be responsible for coordinating a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with applicable quality and safety standards.
The Project Manager will work closely with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, engineering and design firms, independent engineers, consultants, landowners, utilities, permitting authorities, and other project partners, as well as internal development, engineering, finance, and asset management teams.
Support the selection and evaluation of EPC contractors, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers, including technical and commercial due diligence.
Evaluate major project equipment, including solar modules, inverters, racking systems, and medium‑voltage equipment.
Administer EPC and equipment supply agreements, including contract execution, payment milestones, notices, change orders, safety requirements, commissioning, milestone approvals, and project documentation.
Coordinate the review of detailed engineering and construction drawings prepared by EPC contractors.
Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, construction activities, and EPC milestone payments.
Monitor project financial performance and provide regular internal reporting and forecasting.
Coordinate site inspections and work closely with third‑party inspection and consulting providers.
Lead regular project progress meetings with contractors and project stakeholders.
Monitor project quality, schedule, budget, safety, and overall execution.
Identify and communicate project risks, issues, delays, and opportunities to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Review contractor and project partner reporting and incorporate updates into project schedules and forecasts.
Support project acquisition and financing due diligence, including coordination with independent engineers and other third‑party consultants.
Maintain strong relationships with developers, contractors, consultants, engineers, utilities, and other project stakeholders.
Support project commissioning, completion, and handover to the asset management team.
Lead post‑project reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery processes, policies, and standards.
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with established health and safety requirements.
Travel to project sites, contractor meetings, company meetings, conferences, and other locations as required.
2–5+ years of experience in solar project engineering, procurement, construction, or project management.
Experience with distributed generation solar and/or battery energy storage projects strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience managing EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project resources.
Experience supporting project acquisition, financing, and technical due diligence processes.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, project budgets, schedules, change orders, and milestone management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage financial, technical, contractual, and operational project requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare project reports and presentations.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines concurrently.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
Proactive, adaptable, and solutions‑oriented with a strong willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
