Job summary

Colliers Project Leaders is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Owner's Rep team across multiple U.S. locations, including Portland, Ashburn, Atlanta and Miami.

The role focuses on leading the delivery of complex datacenter construction projects, coordinating with design managers, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors to meet scope, schedule and budget. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of project management experience.
• 3+ years of data center construction experience.
• Experience with general contracting and construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting and cost controls.
• Proficient reading/writing English for technical communications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large-scale datacenter construction projects from inception through closeout.
• Coordinate with Design Managers, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Lead budget and schedule reviews with project teams.
• Maintain project budgets and schedules across multiple sites.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate entitlements with consultants and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large scale construction projects that range from site development, ground up construction, data center buildouts and customer fit-outs.
• Knowledgeable in base building and tenant MEP systems and managing the design and implementation of these systems.
• Establish and maintain strong relationship with our general contractors, key subcontractors, equipment vendors and other consultants.
• Review all budgeting and scheduling deliverables for content and quality, drawing quality and adherence to internal budget and schedule goals. Act as a subject matter expert in construction matters with the business in evaluating potential customer leases and ongoing construction projects.
• Participate and lead budget and schedule meeting reviews with construction team personnel.
• Discuss discipline and project objectives, requirements and budgets with clientele, design staff, and senior leadership.
• Create and maintain project budgets and schedules for multiple sites in various stages of design/construction. Evaluate impacts of specific customer requirements.
• Provide oversight and assistance with ongoing construction projects. Escalate as needed for any project issues that arise.
• Personally, conduct or delegate job-site observations to ensure projects are adhering to budget and schedule targets.
• Participate in reviews with consultants and government agencies to properly coordinate the entitlements necessary for permitting/construction approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of project management experience.
• 3+ years of data center construction experience.
• General Contracting, Construction Management, Equipment Vendor or Architecture Experience preferred.
• Extensive familiarity and working knowledge of construction scheduling, project budgeting and cost controls.
• Working technical knowledge of MEP systems and how data centers operate.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
