Job summary

CBRE in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale data center construction programs. You will coordinate stakeholders across architects, engineers and supply chains to ensure compliant, on-schedule delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Strong organizational and management skills; ability to work effectively with the team.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction PM tools.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
  • Rapidly respond to field RFIs.
  • Provide cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance.
  • Independent review of status reports, drawings, timelines and costs.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role.
  • Client management and development of opportunities.
  • Strategic thinking and advising project teams on approaches to meet client and business objectives.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in support of large-scale Data Center campuses in Atlanta, GA. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects.

What you'll do
  • Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.

  • Analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.

  • Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized

  • Ensure application of best practice on all projects.

  • Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.

  • Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly.

  • Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.

  • Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.

  • Forecast and update key project milestones.

  • Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.

  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.

  • Rapid response to RFIs from the field.

  • Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.

  • Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.

  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

  • Assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.

What you'll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor's degree and or equivalent experience.
