Job summary

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. in Plainville, CT is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead planning and execution of large-scale civil construction projects. You will mentor junior Project Managers and Engineers while partnering with executive leadership to strengthen systems and support growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of construction project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card, or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Lead proposal preparation and client presentations.
  • Maintain client contact throughout projects to develop future work.
  • Develop project teams and assign duties.
  • Develop and maintain career development plans for staff.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and identify risks.
  • Prepare and review project documentation and deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Lead proposal preparation and present proposals to clients for approval.
  • Maintain client contact throughout each project and after completion to develop opportunities for future work.
  • Develop project teams and assign duties.
  • Develop and maintain career development plans for staff.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
  • Prepare and review project documentation and deliverables.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card, or ability to obtain one.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Ability to push, pull, and place materials on level surfaces and overhead cabinets.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Limits of Authority
  • Authorized to undertake and perform duties and responsibilities outlined in this position.
  • Executes tasks under the supervision of a Project Director or other designated authority figure.
  • May not change project scope or renegotiate fees without approval from the Vice President or Head of Business Operations.
  • Does not have hire‑and‑fire authority over assigned project personnel but provides recommendations.
  • Reports directly to a Project Director or Area Manager and may also work directly with the Head of Business Operations.
