Job summary

CTI and Associates in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, seeks a Senior Project Manager, Construction to lead complex DOE/DoD and commercial projects. You will develop plans, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in DOE, DoD, or government contracting.
• Experience with EVM and government contract compliance is required.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and execution of medium to large projects in DOE/DoD/government contract environments.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures to guide project execution.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met.
• Track project budgets and expenses, report on financial performance, and forecast project costs.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions to timelines or deliverables.
• Ensure projects comply with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards as required by government contracts.
• Communicate project status regularly to senior management and clients through formal reports and presentations.
• Coordinate and manage resources across multiple departments to ensure efficient project execution.
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including contracts, reports, and change orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and execution of assigned medium to large projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule, specifically in the DOE, DoD, and commercial contract environments.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and work breakdown structures to guide project execution.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and subcontractors, to ensure project milestones are met.
• Track project budgets and expenses, report on financial performance, and forecast project costs.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize potential disruptions to project timelines or deliverables.
• Ensure projects are compliant with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards as required by government contracts.
• Communicate project status regularly to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders through formal reports and presentations.
• Coordinate and manage resources across multiple departments to ensure efficient project execution.
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, including contracts, reports, and change orders.

Education, Experience and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (required).
• Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in industries related to DOE, DoD, or government contracting (required).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred), or equivalent experience in project management roles.
• Experience working with project management tools and methodologies, such as Earned Value Management (EVM) and contract compliance in government settings (required).
• Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
