Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manages very large or group of small to medium-sized projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and contractual obligations, specifically in DOE, DoD, or commercial environments.
  • Team leader of individuals in Hydrogeology and Geology.
  • Maintain knowledge of team workload, backlog, schedule and identify personnel needs.
  • Oversee the project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring all project tasks are properly delegated and executed.
  • Provide technical work direction and/pr review of project decisions and deliverables of junior Project Managers.
  • Authority to make final decisions for most project decisions.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Prepare project status reports and communicate updates to clients, executive management, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans to address potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, and industry standards regarding safety, environmental, and quality control.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior project managers and support staff, ensuring team adherence to best practices.
  • Ensure effective documentation and record-keeping for all aspects of the project, in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project expenses, ensuring alignment with project budgets and company financial objectives.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Education, Experience and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (required). Project Management certification or advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in project management, with a focus on government contracts (DOE, DoD) or commercial projects (required).
  • 6+ years experience as a Project Manager.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
  • Experience managing projects in regulated environments, with a focus on cost management, risk mitigation, and schedule adherence (required).
  • Must receive a satisfactory pre-hire drug screen and background check.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements.
